Collection: Small Kitchen Appliances

Countertop appliances for cooking, baking, brewing, and ironing — from air fryers and toasters to hand mixers, blenders, food processors, coffee makers, and irons. Inventory comes from liquidation channels and customer returns. Every appliance is tested and condition-tagged before it goes on the storefront. Small kitchen appliances are the highest-volume category at LiquiSale because they have the highest return rate at major retailers — customers receive them as gifts, decide they already have one, and return them unopened or barely used.

What is in this collection

The collection includes the most common countertop appliances a Canadian household uses week-to-week: air fryers for low-oil cooking and reheating, toasters in 2-slice and 4-slice configurations, hand mixers and hand blenders for whisking and puréeing, food processors for chopping and slicing, waffle makers and grill-combos, coffee makers in drip and programmable formats, popcorn makers, and steam irons with their ironing boards. Sizes vary from compact mini units that fit a small condo counter to standard family-size appliances. The exact selection rotates monthly based on what comes through liquidation, with the highest stock turnover happening in January (post-holiday returns) and September (back-to-school setup season).

What we check before listing an open-box appliance

Open-box small appliances are the category where customers most often ask “is everything in the box”. We inspect every unit for the following: the appliance itself powers on and runs through a full cycle; the power cord shows no damage, exposed wire, or kinks; all accessories that ship from the manufacturer are present (whisks, beaters, push-pots, baskets, filter holders, cord storage clips, measuring scoops); and the user manual or quick-start guide is in the box. If the original manual is missing, we link to the manufacturer’s online manual on the product page. For appliances with non-stick or coated surfaces, we inspect for visible coating damage that would shed during the first cooking cycle.

Picking the right size for your kitchen

Air fryers in this collection range from 2 quart compact models (one or two servings) up to family-size 5 quart and larger units. The 2 quart is right for a small condo, a single-person household, or as a secondary appliance for reheating; family-size 5 quart fits a whole chicken or six chicken breasts in a single batch. Toaster choice usually comes down to slot count: a 2-slice toaster fits a 9×5 inch footprint and works for one or two adults; a 4-slice toaster takes about 11×11 inches but halves the time for a four-person breakfast. Coffee makers in this collection are 10 to 12 cup drip and programmable units — the right size for a household that finishes a pot per day. Hand mixers, hand blenders, food processors, and waffle makers are sized for typical home use rather than commercial volume.

Conditions and inspection

Each appliance is bench-tested before listing. Brand New arrived in sealed packaging. Open-Box is a return where packaging was opened but the unit shows no use. Opened for Inspection means we removed it from the box, ran it briefly through a power-on and a basic function cycle, and confirmed accessories and cord condition. We do not list appliances with damaged cords, broken control switches, missing manufacturer accessories that are not replaceable separately, food residue, or non-stick coatings with visible flaking.

Shipping and warranty

Appliances ship from our Toronto warehouse. Standard parcel transit applies; oversized surcharges apply only to the largest grill-combo and family-size waffle-maker units. Orders placed before 1 p.m. ET are processed within 24 business hours. Prices are in CAD. Manufacturer warranties on open-box units depend on the brand — some honour the warranty from the original purchase date, some do not honour open-box at all. Where we can confirm the warranty status, we note it on the product page. LiquiSale stands behind every appliance for at least 30 days against defects regardless of manufacturer policy.
