This catalogue brings together home furniture, lighting, storage solutions, and indoor/outdoor decor — pieces sourced through retailer liquidation, cancelled orders, end-of-season clearance, and customer returns from North American brands. Our Toronto-based team inspects what comes in and writes the listings, with the aim of describing each piece accurately enough that you can decide without having to ask twice.
Every listing carries a condition tag — Brand New, Opened for Inspection, or Open-Box — visible before checkout. Dimensions, finishes, assembly hardware, and what's in the box appear on the product page itself, because those vary widely from one piece to the next.
Shopping by room? The indoor home furnishings selection covers bed frames, living-room pieces, and indoor lighting. The outdoor and patio furniture selection narrows the view to weather-rated furniture and accents. Many pieces appear in both this catalogue and the relevant sub-collection.
Prices are shown in CAD. Shipping availability and oversized-item surcharges are calculated at checkout based on the destination postal code.
How the home goods liquidation market works
Most of the home furniture, lighting, and decor that ends up in liquidation channels never reaches a customer's living room the first time around. Major Canadian and North American retailers receive a steady stream of inventory back from cancelled deliveries, refused oversized shipments, post-holiday returns, showroom display rotations, and end-of-season clearances. Restocking these items into mainstream warehouses is often more expensive than moving them through a separate liquidation pipeline — so retailers route them there instead.
A practical consequence is that a meaningful share of pieces in the secondary market are fully functional, sometimes never opened. A coffee table refused at the door because the customer changed their mind doesn't become a used coffee table. A patio umbrella pulled from an end-of-season display in October isn't a different umbrella in April. The difference between these pieces and full-price retail is usually documentation and packaging condition, not the product itself.
Where Open-Box does indicate handling — for example, a dining chair returned by a customer who found it didn't match their decor — that handling tends to be limited to opening the box, inspecting the piece, and putting it back. We treat that history as something to describe, not minimize.
LiquiSale selects from these channels rather than buying everything available. Stock that arrives without enough documentation, with missing hardware, or in condition we can't confirm doesn't get listed. The result is a smaller catalogue than a typical clearance site, but each piece has been reviewed by our Toronto inspection team before it appears here.
Notes from the inspection bench
Every piece passes through a two-stage review before it's listed. The first stage is documentation: serial numbers, model references, manufacturer specs, and any notes from the supplier about why the unit is being moved out. The second stage is physical: opening packaging where appropriate, confirming the contents match the manifest, and noting cosmetic condition.
The condition tag on each listing summarizes what came out of our two-stage review. Brand New means the piece arrived sealed and remained sealed through both stages. Opened for Inspection means our team opened the packaging to verify contents and resealed where possible; the piece itself was never used. Open-Box indicates a retail or customer return, where we've confirmed the listed parts are present and noted any cosmetic marks on the product page when applicable.
Beyond the tag, product pages typically include exact dimensions, weight where the manufacturer publishes it, what's in the box as we received it (including assembly hardware where applicable), and any cosmetic notes from inspection where they exist. Finishes and materials are listed when the brand documents them.
If a detail isn't on the product page, the most reliable way to confirm something specific is to contact our customer support team in Toronto before ordering. We aim to respond within 24 business hours, and questions about furniture dimensions, finish colour, or assembly are common enough that we treat them as part of pre-purchase research, not a nuisance.
Shipping large items across the country
Furniture orders ship through fulfillment partners with delivery available coast to coast. Standard pieces typically ship within the windows shown at checkout, while large pieces — sectional sofas, full-size patio sets, larger storage units — may have additional handling time depending on the destination province and access at the delivery address.
Surcharges for oversized shipments are calculated at checkout based on the postal code and the dimensions of the piece. Where a specific destination requires curbside delivery instead of inside delivery, or where threshold delivery isn't available, the limitation is shown before payment rather than after. Our shipping policy page details which carriers we use for which product categories.
Returns of furniture follow the terms in our return policy page. Larger pieces and returned-and-checked stock occasionally have specific return conditions, and where that applies, the conditions are listed on the product page itself. For oversized returns, contacting support before initiating helps avoid carrier issues — particularly for pieces that required two-person delivery on the way in.
Sub-collections for indoor and outdoor shoppers
Furniture & Decor is the parent catalogue. If you're focused on the home interior — bed frames, dining sets, indoor lighting, indoor storage, wall art — the indoor home furnishings selection narrows the view to those items. If you're planning a backyard, deck, or balcony, the outdoor and patio furniture selection limits the view to weather-rated pieces, patio sets, umbrellas, planters, and accents intended for outside use.
Many pieces belong in both views — a Sterilite tote, for example, can serve indoor storage or sheltered outdoor use depending on the household. Pieces currently positioned in only one sub-collection reflect how the manufacturer recommends using them; if you have a different use case, checking the product page or sending a question to support is worth the minute it takes.
Frequently asked questions
How are large furniture items shipped across the country?
Furniture orders go through fulfillment partners that handle oversized goods. The carrier and delivery window are shown at checkout based on the destination postal code. Larger pieces — sectionals, full patio sets, larger storage units — may have specific access requirements (curbside vs. threshold vs. inside delivery), and any limitations appear before payment.
Do furniture pieces require assembly?
Many pieces do, particularly bed frames, shelving, and tables. Assembly requirements and whether hardware is included are noted on the product page where the manufacturer publishes that information. If you can't find the answer, sending a question to our team before ordering is the simplest route.
Are all parts included with Open-Box furniture?
Our inspection step confirms the listed parts are present before a piece is tagged Open-Box. Where parts are missing or substituted, either the piece isn't listed, or the gap is noted directly on the product page. We don't list stock we can't describe accurately.
Can I see the inspection notes before buying?
Cosmetic notes from inspection, where they exist, are published on the product page itself. There isn't a separate inspection report file; the relevant content is integrated into the description. For specific questions not covered, contacting support before purchase is the route most customers use.
Do you carry both indoor and outdoor pieces in this collection?
Yes. The full home selection lives here, both indoor and outdoor pieces in one parent catalogue. The indoor home furnishings selection and the outdoor and patio furniture selection split the same catalogue by space for shoppers who already know which view they want.
